The Animal Specialty Hospital of Florida is the only specialty hospital Southwest Florida with Board-Certified Specialists in Surgery, Internal Medicine, Emergency/ Critical Care, Neurology, and Oncology under one roof.   Our 24-hour emergency room is headed by the area’s only Board-Certified Specialist in Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care (American College of Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care), Dr. Ashley Ayoob, and the only emergency facility that is supported by a broad field of veterinary specialists (surgery, internal medicine, neurology, and oncology).   Our emergency room is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 day a year with an experienced emergency veterinarian or specialist always present in the hospital to care for incoming dogs or cats or for those pets that remain hospitalized for continued care. Our critical care team is staffed 24 hours, 7 days a week, 365 days per year by experienced emergency veterinarians and a critical care nursing team to provide immediate medical care to our hospitalized patients.   Board-Certified Specialists are on call 24 hours a day, seven days a week for consultations with referring veterinarians, and a Board-Certified Radiologist will be available on a consultation basis for radiographic interpretation of imaging studies. Animal Specialty Hospital of Florida’s goal is to fill a critical need for advanced pet health care in the region.
